My sister phoned me last night. I can’t remember how but I mentioned that I had blog. She found this hard to believe. But when I went on to say that it’s a turned into a bit of a cooking one, she just fell about laughing. So she still doesn’t think that I have a blog. I think she sees me as her little bro who plays with his toy train set and watches Captain Scarlet. The second is correct and I’m always hopeful Santa might deliver the first.

Now that I’ve worked out that you need to turn it on, the slow cooker has been a revelation. Over the last few days the worlds worst cook has produced some very nice tasting dishes:

  • Sausage Casserole
  • Rice Pudding
  • Apple Crumble
  • Chicken Casserole
  • Vegetable Lasagna
  • Vegetable Curry
  • Leftover rotisserie
  • Lamb Tagine

So we have this blogs first ever recommendation. If you can’t cook, can’t afford a personal chef, just go and buy a slow cooker.

The second recommendation is Captain Scarlet should be made into a movie – come on Marvel and DC.

  1. The slow cooker is undoubtedly THE BEST invention of the 20th century and I couldn’t live without mine. Get up in the morning, chop a bunch of veggies, toss in some meet & herbs, and voila! Dinner is done 6-8 hours later.

      1. Next up … an Insta-Pot! I have been researching it and think I may ask for one for Christmas. It serves as a traditional crock pot, but also a pressure cooker, rice cooker, and steamer. Also, a yogurt maker and browner, but I doubt I would use if for that. πŸ™‚

      2. My dad might have been the same, but he had the opportunity to meet and have drinks with the original 7 astronauts … the Mercury 7 … when they stayed at one of the hotels he was managing, and he was ‘starstruck’. From then on, he kept up with all the news out of NASA and kept their autographed picture on the wall in his office. πŸ˜‰

I hope we both get an Insta-Pot for Christmas! πŸŽ„ πŸŽ…
