I suppose I am a creature of habit. Everyday the dog gets exactly the same walk twice. One with me in the morning and then a nighttime walk with our son.

It’s kinda reassuring as I can let my mind wander onto today’s areas of concern leaving the legs and the dog to navigate the route.

It’s an introverts paradise. Hardly ever bump into anyone. Open views. No sign of habitation. At night our son is guaranteed complete isolation.

Every country will have places like this. Places you can still escape from the rat race. Seemingly cut off from the hustle and bustle of modern life. I give you Yorkshire.

  1. Those are beautiful pictures. There were times in my childhood that I found my small town beautiful. As I got older I have failed to see that same beauty. Sometimes a change of scenery is all one needs to appreciate the beauty again.

  2. This sounds lovely!

I have a dog but he lives with my parents because he loves my dad. But when I go home I will walk him because he loves his walks. And extra walks are always welcome! Iโ€™ll take him after lunch on Sunday while my parents go out for lunch. Then they get home and heโ€™s all โ€œwell, you are home. Time for my after church walk with Dadโ€ and heโ€™s be a grump until he gets it! What a drama queen!

But we can never have peaceful walks. Everyone knows him and wants to come and pet him and everyone knows my dad so I get pulled into countless conversations with all the old people along the route wanting to check in with me (Iโ€™ve never met them before) and talk about my dad lol

  3. Lovely views. We had some fantastic walks in the woods and also in the Malvern Hills. Around here we have the park and the beach of course, woods are much further afield. For the open spaces though, it had to be the boat, and though none of us have perfected ‘walking on water’, the scenery was nice and we drifted along which was almost the same thing!

      1. Thank you! You never know … I may just get over to that side of the pond one of these days and I will definitely take you up on your offer! Yes, I know you Brits like tea much better than coffee! I can take or leave tea, but it’s not my go-to drink. Thanks again!

      1. Wow! So I suppose you stock up enough to last โ€˜till the next month. There isnโ€™t enough pantry / fridge space to hold all the food my little ones eat. So we go as often as every other day to the grocery store. A lot of fruit for the most part. But we are recognized by the employees in the shops we visit most often. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
