Things have been a crazy over last week or so. It’s either busy or being even more tired than usual. Can’t work out which. But I’ve been very remiss on responding to stuff. Sorry. Anyway let’s at least respond to one thing quickly.
Thank you to Rory (A Guy Called Bloke) for the Random Quotes. His quotes are epic. The subject is Attitude so let’s do some quotes.
Always try to get at least one of my heroes in. Time for some Carl Sagan.
“The really intelligent people have an attitude of fact finding rather than fault finding”
Next are from another person sadly not with us anymore. The one if a kind Lemmy (Motörhead).
“I’ve been known as Lemmy since I was around 10. I didn’t always have the mustache … I’ve only had that since I was 11”
“If you’re going to be a fucking rock star, go be one. People don’t want to see the guy next door on stage; they want to see a being from another planet.”
One from the brilliant Stephen Fry
“Taste every fruit of every tree in the garden at least once. It’s an insult to creation not to experience it fully”.
My 3 tags for quotes about attitude are
Stupendous quotes Gary, well done – you know that’s a word we don’t see that often, so it makes me wonder if it’s a word at all – stupendous! Pretty sure it is, if not then it bloody well is NOW!!
Thanks for playing the 321 Quote Me tag 🙂

Well who hasn’t? I always took it as a compliment, and so should you – be smart, act dumb – works wonders 🙂

It probably wont until tomorrow (or my Saturday) I’ve been thinking though what to bake. I’m going to try for a lasagne, because I love lasagne and maybe something chocolatey, because it’s Easter.

Fry’s quote typically takes a broad swipe at God, with whom Fry seems to have taken a deep and personal dislike – or would have if he believed in one, of course.
God commanded Adam not to eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (an apple is never mentioned in the Book of Genesis) in the Garden of Eden (baybee) because the day he did he would doom his eternal spirit to a life of knowledge of the way of flesh, knowing both good and evil, but being compelled to experience (know) both… and we inherited the result, when we could have been living in Paradise.
God then banished Adam and Eve and their descendents from Eden before they could eat the fruit of the Tree of Life and live forever (in a corrupted flesh form).
Fry certainly knew of God’s intention for man in Genesis but thought he was wiser than God (“it’s an insult to creation not to” (and it is an insult to God to chose to disobey his direct instruction regarding the one tree who’s fruit we should not eat) and encourages us (‘fallen’ man) to eat the fruit of every tree ‘in the Garden’, at least once!
Maybe Fry is a descendant of the original Serpent perhaps? 🙂
