The heatwave is here in Europe but it’s refusing to cross the North Sea. While Bern is getting 34C, Madrid gets 35C and blazing sunshine good old Yorkshire gets drizzle and 12C. So still it’s proper weather.
And so as the weather sticks to my post from earlier today, the system also continues to follow that posts script.
Another day and another system letter. A service we did have access to but which has dried up recently. Today brings the confirmation. Government cut backs so the service provider has to prioritise and our son is currently seen as a low priority. So it’s another service we have to reapply for and go through a new assessment process. It’s just not fair on kids like our son.
It’s bloody ridiculous Gary! Would a letter to your MP be worth a shot?

It’s just shocking! I feel so sorry for you and your son. However, I’m trying to send some sunshine you’re way.

Looked at the forecast. None tomorrow. We might get one afternoon on Saturday when we get above 20C.

There’s no end to it, is there? In more ways than one, it seems as if there isn’t enough ‘sun’ to go around for everyone, so already struggling people like you and your boy have to give up more and more.
I’m going to pray for you again now.

In my next life I want to be the parent that never has to fight for my kid’s needs. Because it definitely isn’t this life. Sending positive thoughts your way.

I know exactly what your saying.

It’s so frustrating and it’s not nice to hear, or acceptable from them to say he is low priority. Every child deserves a good start in life. I hope you get somewhere with this. But it’s further unnecessary stress for you, that you don’t need.

Sadly it’s the modern way. Our Potential new PM talks about the need for tax cuts for higher earners. Guess who will again be penalised to pay for that.

It’s not good. It’s always those worser off that get affected in the end.

According to Paul the Weatherman, ours is a one day event and due this Saturday!

Does that count as a heat wave or a nice afternoon.

A dried up service is definitely not proper weather

No, it isn’t fair … but, there’s next to nothing you can do for the moment but grit your teeth and jump through their hoops. I’ll email you later this evening, for I have something to share with you that will show you that you’re not alone. Hugs!

It is the toughest f’ing group: the ones not off badly enough for a high priority, but not well off enough to have regular access.

These days due to spending cuts. How am I kidding. Calculated spending decisions to spend in other areas. That this group is getting bigger and the defined high priority is getting smaller.

It’s easier to make the cuts when one redefines the priorities.

Sadly that’s the first step.

Not really. Very time consuming.
