It’s Day 1 of 2020 and already it feels like a spaced out sort of year….

Thank you Sadje for the New Year Tag

Here is how to participate:

  1. Share a link back to the person who tagged you.
  2. Share a link to the person who created the tag- jesusluvsall.wordpress.com
  3. Share a favorite New Year’s Memory
  4. Answer the questions of the person who tagged you.
  5. Tag whoever you want.
  6. Use any picture that you like for New Years’.

So here goes then with the questions.
1- If you could celebrate the New Year anywhere. where would it be?

Definitely the Swiss Alps. Somewhere like Murren or Wengan.

2- What is your favorite snack food for New Year?

Cheese and Onion Crisps in the left hand and a pack of Midget Gems in the right.

3- Have you ever kept a New Year’s resolution? If so, what was it?

From about the age of 17 it was to get blindingly drunk on New Years Eve. That tradition has now been broken. I think after a few bottles of Thunderbird Cider I had a few more traditions but thankfully I could never remember them the next day.

4- What do you want to do with your blog next year?

Turn it into a High End Cooking Site with a focus on precision baking.

5- Do you prefer a big party or a small gathering to celebrate?

After the first bottle of Thunderbird Cider I really didn’t care. Without having that alcoholic antifreeze pumping through my veins I’ve gone past small to nano sized parties.

One Memory

My partner loved travelling. The first year we met she had prebooked a Christmas trip to India. She flew back into a very snowy UK airport at 6pm on New Years Eve. She had foolishly left me the job of finding somewhere near the airport that was having a celebration. I think she was hoping for maybe a lovely meal and a refined dance. I’m not sure a Blues Brothers Theme Night fitted into that equation. We had a great night (from what I can remember) and unbelievably I won the Blues Brothers Dancing Competition. My partner was suitably embarrassed.

My Nominations (absolutely no pressure, only do this if you really want to)

  1. Blues Brothers dancing award!? I see a possible new hit TV show and star! Great job 🙂 I can’t say that I have any memorable New Years. It’s always just been another day. I’ll think about it though – see if anything comes to mind!

  2. You must be posh … it was White Lightning for me! All those teenage hangovers don’t bear thinking about. 😦 I’m looking forward to your recipes too … a request to include some vegan ones please.
    Cap’n Chaos has beautiful teeth!
