It’s Sunday so it’s time for a virtual wander to alpine heaven. Switzerland, a country which is that beautiful it looks like a series of stunning oil paintings.

Everywhere you look it’s another photo opportunity.

A climbing paradise. Another perfect landscape.

Even the cities provide endless postcard opportunities.

The most picturesque churches blend perfectly into the glorious Alps.

When the weather changes the real life paintings become magnificently atmospheric.

The colours become stunning.

Even the lake steamers are straight out of a painting, especially when the are surrounded by such a backdrop.

A Swiss lake boat is also a wonderful place to pull faces at your mum while she sits inside drinking her peppermint tea. That would be some portrait.

The water just amazes me. The mountains are awe inspiring but I live near mountains… not the Alps true, but the water… but I’m a Pisces, of course I’m drawn to the water๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ

Thank you Gary for making every Saturday Night something to look forward too!๐Ÿ’Œ

My favorite picture is the last one๐Ÿ’Œ

  3. Enjoying my Sunday morning breakfast in Switzerland. Thank’s for, as always, lovely photos from this wonderful place on earth. A question, the fifth picture from top, is it Luzern? I think I recognize it, been there a few times.

  4. Those are such beautiful views, Gary. Just today, I said to my husband that I want to make some trips again to some of those places around us (lakes, mountains, wherever). You totally inspire me, Gary!

      1. Thank you very much, Gary. Hehe, I know! In appreciation of the original post I mostly close the comments on my post in order to lead people to that post. It is also a way for me to thank the blogger.
Btw., I just scheduled a post with photos of a trip to a mountain in my area. I hope you’ll like it ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Honestly Iโ€™m not sure. The logistics of getting son there without bumping into too many strangers, kinda suggests having to drive. Then itโ€™s the cost. Itโ€™s tough but we still have some ashes to take there. So I will say Yes, maybe, probably not…..
