It’s ok to change plan some days….
I was planning to post something which was quite dark and bleak. It was all scheduled to go and then….
I was doing my morning workout and just had a thought. A random thought. One word popped into my head….
DISNEY
Hawklad has been to Paris Disney three times now. He adores it. Much happiness.
So that word kept popping into my head. Looking at the dark grey sky I just thought maybe a bit of light relief is required somedays. So the bleak post has been replaced with this one. One day I will do a full Disney Day one but let’s just have a few happy memories to keep us going for now. Now that’s what a I call a candy floss…..
Disney rules no matter how old you are and that is one cute kid you have, I really refuse to believe that you have a face for radio if you created such a gorgeous kid 😉

Wonderful photos. I almost had a change of plans. I started to panic because I’m worried my post is lame. 😀 I’m taking a chance.

It still trips me out that there are Disney parks beyond the Original Disneyland. Florida is this whole resort thing, so that’s just different enough that I can accept it… but Paris? Japan?
I guess I’m a Disney snob, being from SoCal and less than 100 miles from the Magic Kingdom😝😂😂😂
No one is allowed to be gloomy or sad at Disney.😉 Even the dead guys in Pirates Of The Caribbean are happy.🍻
Great pictures, thanks for sharing them! Hugs chase away gloom too… sending some💌💌

When we first moved to Florida everyone wanted to visit, and then expected us to drive them to Disney World. 2+ hours each way.

Though I took my children several times when they were young, I’m not the biggest fan of amusement parks.
Now Disney movies are another matter all together! It was enough I owned 30+ on DVD, then Disney came out with streaming Disney+ just for ME! 😀 😀 😀

I live roughly 15miles from DLand but haven’t been inside the park in roughly 20yrs. I can’t tolerate the crowds!
When I was growing up, you could board the monorail at the hotel and be locked in the very back compartment so you couldn’t get out when it stopped at the park. We used to do that at least once a year… if you timed it right you’d pass over the Electrical Parade!!
Great pics! I hope you can enjoy the parks again some day!!

I just wanted to say, there’s something about those photos that made me so happy and sad all at once. Sitting at work in my lunch break and something in your pictures evoked the anticipation that my two youngest boys are growing up too fast for my liking. But that sadness belongs to me and their mother. They joyously grow every day, and as parents we are turn between our pride and the knowledge of the concept of impermanence.
Thanks for making me cry at work! And not even with a ‘dark’ theme to your post!

Sorry didn’t mean to make you cry. But I know that feeling.

Oh no, it was a good cry, you know? The sorry that is about the beauty of the world and how the truism to make every moment count is so important

We took our boys to Disney World in Paris once too. They also loved it. I wasn’t such a fan but tolerated it for their benefit. Great family times.

True. If I remember rightly, we stayed in self-catering site attached to the theme park which meant that we were allowed in an hour before the doors opened. So we could get a couple of rides in before the crowds turned up and then leave around lunchtime.

I’ve been to three different Disneylands. First to the one in France the year it opened. Then to the one in Tokyo on a school tour in 2002 (I was one of the teachers!). Then finally in California in 2015. Each on a different continent, each similar and yet different. Each a lot of fun, even for someone like me who can’t stand rollercoasters.

Just realised I spaced the visits around ten years apart. 1992 was the first one. So I guess next visit sometime after 2025.

All very different. And I was different too. A teenager the first time. A young and kinda single adult the second. And a parent the third. And went with different people each time. So I can’t really say. But probably the last because I was with my kids. It was a week before my son was officially diagnosed but I knew the story and got the GP to write a note and we got disability pass and didn’t have stand around in queues. The staff were so good at accommodating our needs.

Happy memories indeed, and for us too. We went when it first opened and had a wonderful time!
Got some great pictures of the evening parade somewhere. It was a terrific weekend with about 90 others through the bank sports and social club, and cost us the grand total of £30 a head for the ferry trip, coach, hotel in the complex, and a 2 day pass.
