Hawklad, does the costume fit?

“Don’t know yet Dad!”

I’m waiting for Jason to appear with his chainsaw.

“You might have to wait a while. It’s a tight fit.”

How tight.

“Well the trousers are now shorts that don’t get over my knees. The top won’t even get over my head. The mask is more like an eye patch and the strap isn’t long enough to wrap round my head. But at least the plastic chainsaw fits in my hand but it’s kind of like a Swiss Army knife now.”

Oh. That’s your fault for growing so much in a year. It kind of fit last year.

“No it didn’t, it was too small last year. Dad does your costume fit. But it’s not even a Halloween one?”

Yes it is number one son. It’s a ghoul.

“Dad it isn’t a ghoul. It’s Dr Who Cyberman mask which is supposed to fit a toddler and a black bin liner with holes cut in it.”

It’s a fantastic ghoul costume which I grant you is a little tight.

“Fantastic is not the word I would use. How tight”

Erm the mask doesn’t even cover my nose and my bum has ripped a hole in the bag. Apart from that it’s good to go.

“Shall we give the costumes a miss this year?”

Good idea Hawklad what shall we replace them with?

“More chocolate.”

Perfect. But with all those calories I certainly won’t get into next years costume.

“Dad who said you were getting the chocolate……”

  9. I have two costumes… Batman and Eeyore. I’m telling you, those onesie pajamas are the way to go. Very comfortable and they fit all six feet of me. The Batman is even a little long in the legs which is unheard of for me. And the best part is, they’re pajamas!

    I think you and Hawklad should get some. 💌💌💌

I had to look that word up, for I was pronouncing it “Touch” and thinking that’s weird. 🤨 When I saw it explained I thought of course it is. {{{giggles}}} There was a light bulb of recognition. Just like the time I pronounced a word “Boor~goy~S” because I was self teaching myself sociology. The other person looked at me gone out, but when they realised I was saying bourgeoisie and told me, there was giggles all round. 😃 😄

      3. Yes, now that kind of luggage would be so helpful, well hopefully. Not that you could sit on it in the train station while waiting, for I am sure it wouldn’t allow it (unlike normal luggage).

      5. You’ll never get me in a plane, never! An airport maybe, getting on a plane, nope, ner, nevereverever. There’s no strings holding those babies up yer know and they fall out the sky sometimes!

  16. I was going to do a Dia de los Muertos kinda thing this year but now I’m gonna be “crazy cat lady not giving out full size candy bars, or even opening the door, for the first time in 25+ yrs while she worries about her feral & stray cats, esp the black ones, all night.”

  21. Lol… my sons… would be the same exact thing every single year for literally like 10 years!!! Dude!!

    I would try to get them to be different things … but one always wanted to be a grim reaper 🤨😄… and the other one wanted to be a ninja 🤨😄

    Whatever lol … Costumes to me are like bathing suits 👙… must have a new one every year lol

    Some have shoe fetish I like costumes and bathing suits

    This year both were a no. I didn’t do either one. Changing it up for 2020…

    Bought our own chocolate too ❤️

      1. Yeah that was the oldest… lol he would switch it up with how the grim reaper looked 😄😄

        One year he had a mask that actually bled 🙄😄

        Or a skeleton face or just different ways to make a grim reaper look … and of course he had the scythe

        The ninja liked the same look every year lol

        My daughter was the one who changed costumes every year… we had pokemon one, cute little bumble bee 🐝… last year was dankin’ rompa or whatever 🙄… now I have no idea about the things she likes to be lol

        She tells me what she needs … but this year we didn’t do costumes or go out at all. Just had candy 🍬 🍭 was a chill night… we had on Hotel Transylvania

        We didn’t see it in theaters and the first time I rented it… the girl says – you know I don’t like scary movies 🤨

        I said is a cartoon!!!

        She says yeah with monsters 🤨🙄😄

        We watched anyway and we liked it – it was cute ❤️
