That’s one of my favourite electricity poles. Why? Because when I used to run it was the first thing I saw when I got close to home again. Always a welcome sight.

I was thinking that after this trying year we could all do with a welcome sight or two.

For everyone that welcome sight will be different. For me what would it be….

Maybe a rock concert,

Maybe going to see my team get beat again at St James Park,

Maybe it’s the view from the top of a mountain,

Maybe it’s the Sea,

Maybe it’s seeing Switzerland again,

Or just maybe it’s seeing a friends smile in person.

Let’s hope that whatever that view is, you and I will see it in 2021.

      1. Huh. I always use the words interchangeably. The Pacific Ocean is cold here, colder up north, but warm in Hawaii.

So… a sea… such as the Mediterranean… is warm everywhere?

  1. I think mine would be my favorite holiday location. It’s called Lion’s Head and it’s about a 4 hour drive from her and situated on the Georgian Bay. It is mostly rocky shore and cliffs, but I went there as a child and loved it. I started going back a few years ago. Of course this year I could not make the trip and, unfortunately, last year could not either because of having to spend a lot of money on car repairs. All the brakes needed replacing, so I couldn’t spend the money on a holiday and take a chance of my brakes not working. I’m hoping next summer I will be able to go again.

  2. I *will* go to the Ocean in 2021. Seriously… it’s only 17 miles from my house. I’ve stayed away out of respect for the people who live there, but I’m sure I can find parking in a business district. Especially if I go on a cloudy, cold day… when none of the tourists will want to be there.

You will get to see a “welcome sight” and fingers crossed 🤞it’s in early 2021. I know it depends on how well Hawklad is doing.💌💌💌💌💌

  3. I was amazed by the many firsts regarding the Corona situation you mentioned in one of your posts. But again, it will make us experience so many second firsts after we have overcome it. We will value and treasure all those things we took for granted so much more!

  4. There are lots of things I would love to see again but as travelling is difficult for me, I have accepted that it isn’t going to happen. Just before the shut down I was visited by a very old and dear friend who drove all the way from NYC to see me. It was the bright spark of 2020.
