It’s Sunday so it must be time for our weekly trip down memory lane. To family holidays and dream destinations. To see staggering beauty. To experience crisp, fresh mountain air. To experience the peace. To see the mountains and lakes. To see the awe of the The Alps. It’s time to visit Switzerland.

In these odd times where travel seems such an alien concept. Where our passports are gathering dust in drawers. Suitcases are redundant. Its so vital we continue to dream. To remember what a wonderful world we actually live in. To remind ourselves that places like Switzerland do exist.

Yes it’s now been 5 years since our last trip. Our last holiday. But one day we will return.

  1. I remember our traveling days with fondness. Unfortunately we were right in the midst of renewing passports/Global Entry when things went haywire. We managed to get all four passports back and two of us were approved for Global Entry renewals. The other two got stuck in this no man’s land of “interview required” while offices shut down and travel got cancelled altogether. I have absolutely no idea where we’ll stand when things begin opening up again.

  3. I love the pictures you post of faraway places I may never get the chance to visit.

In the 9th grade of high school I had a science teacher named Mr. Stiles who once showed our class the small cans filled with mountain air sent to him by his some of his former students.

It made us all laugh! 😎

  4. Another great post – sadly however – l think it will be a very long time before any of us will feel safe travelling to destinations again outside our home environments/towns and so on. We can look out for ourselves our safeness and so on … l trust myself … but l trust very few others.
