There comes a time to bake. A time to bake that Christmas Cake. So the festive playlist was cranked up. The baking implements readied. Time to get the ingredients out. That’s when the plan unravelled slightly.

Butter, eggs and Marzipan FOUND.

Oranges, orange juice or orange peel

Dark Sugar

Icing Sugar

So I had better add those to the next order. But what to do. Simple make egg sandwiches and then start to nibble on the marzipan. That’s a result.

Then go outside and catch a beautiful sun setting moment. Yep that Christmas Cake turned out very nicely.

  1. I had fish & chips, but my sunset was kind of a dud. You win! πŸ˜‚
That really is a stunning sky.
Are you looking at Jupiter & Saturn just after sunset? Monday night is the Big Night!! Its nearly impossible to see the separation between them. Thank you Carl Sagan for making Astronmy so cool!!
And thank you Gary Kermit Superdad for making me smile!πŸ˜πŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’Œ

  2. You really need to make a Xmas cake well before the date to allow it to mature. When you get the dried fruit can I suggest you macerate it for at least overnight in warm liquid, preferably dark rum or, at worst, orange juice. This will ensure a moist cake.

  3. Okay, that cloud looks like an alagator walking from the right towards the left, one huge paw. if that’s what aligators call their limbs? alogaters, aligaitors, alligators “Woohoo! Alligators” and all that by trial and error, without the use of Google search to do my spell checking.
Note to self: Alligators have two L’s.
