Where are our biscuits……
So today my country finds itself cut adrift. Many countries have closed their ports, tunnels and airports to us. That’s what happens when you mix an even more pesky variant of Covid with clueless, self deluded, only interested in themselves numpties who couldn’t manage a snowball fight.
Dolly and her biscuit munching woolly friends would do a better job than that prat called Boris and his cronies.
So yep we are cut adrift as a nation. All I can think about is why it took so long for this to happen. Countries like France should have done this years ago. We are not exactly going to be missed. Must be time for Yorkshire to join Scotland in declaring independence and ditching this madness. Let’s celebrate that thought with a large portion of Yorkshire Puddings. I’d rather talk about those puddings than the other puddings who are in charge,
Our nation cut itself adrift from the rest of the world nine months ago, for which I am extremely grateful. Apart from a shortage of some imported goods on shop shelves, life goes on as normal.
I’m sure the sheep in your picture would do a better job of handling the pandemic in the UK than Boris and company. If the situation continues, I don’t think Scotland will be the only part of the UK demanding independence.

It won’t be. It’s amazing the damage one or two deluded idiots can cause.

Its very weird, apparently countries do have control of their borders being in the UK, my fav thing is watching Farage twitter feed today

It’s ironic that Farage and Johnson has been trying to get control of the borders for 5 years. The French did it in 3 hours.

I am finding it highly amusing, mainly because if I don’t laugh I will cry, this whole, how can they do this to us. Well its exactly what we were trying to do, they just did it better

Very much so, I would love to say it can’t get any worse, but its going to. Hopefully my sarcastic dark sense of humour is going to get me through it

It is so unfortunate that despite knowing about the variant, the government didn’t take any measures to contain it. This was bound to happen.

I hope no one is complaining about UK being on it’s own… especially those who voted for Brexit. I read that Governor, Mayor… someone from New York wanted to stop incoming from UK.
I wonder when people will get it through their heads that this isn’t a game, or something that’s happening somewhere else??
There was a “freedom rally” scheduled for today… those idjits want to fully reopen everything and forget the masks… they dont need them🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Sooo… tell me about Yorkshire Pudding. Is it yummy?😉💌💌💌

I think we should be celebrating the first positive example of the British exceptionalism that Boris has been banging on about: our own home grown variant of Covid.

That was a bit of a shock let me tell you. I had been reading/seeing articles popping up referring to this variant and then the next I knew it was breaking that Canada had closed our borders to the UK for 72 hours. That escalated quickly. I send warm thoughts and hugs to you and Hawklad. My version of bubble wrap. Have a good Tuesday. 🙂

This has gone on long enough. EVERYONE is responsible not just the gub’mints. Good Lord knows the virus has mutated so many times, will the vaccine even work?

What if people had at the beginning called it by the right name Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 or at least the abbreviation of it SARS-CoV-2 for it is “SARS” mark 2 and yet it was played down. Why did they do that?

These games the toffs play with us all. 🎲 The way they are trained to always sound like they know what they are doing and bluff their way through. They’ve not a bloody clue! It’s all just smoke and mirrors to keep them in power. As intelligent people take more precautions than they prescribe to try to stay safe, those that take more risks will pay the ultimate price to gain their Darwin awards.

Oooo, Yorkshires, yum. My baby bro makes the best ones.
I had a panicked email last night from a Dutch friend — the news report she saw about the UK was full of panic buying and death apparently. I reassured her that we and the boys were alive and had food for a month at least. I love a well stocked larder……

That’s the thing our government has been trying to go it’s own way and suddenly they get annoyed when others start doing that to us.

Both the UK and the US have know-nothing governments right now.
Both countries are suffering self-inflicted wounds. Or as we would say in American Baseball, un-forced errors.
Why would the UK want to go it alone and be a smaller player in the world? In this dangerous world? What next, leaving NATO?
It seemed like T-rump was going to leave NATO but he just pissed everyone off. We should be able to recover from that.
England seems to think it is still a big player in the world like when there was an empire.
The sun has long set on that memory.
While being a much larger country, the US may face a similar fate if we don’t get our house in order.
The only thing we can do is remain optimistic.
