Tracks. Can you guess the little visitor?
***********
“Dad I’m not happy…”
What’s wrong?
“School. Apparently they think that origami is a fun activity”
Well many would agree.
“Not here they won’t. So when a teacher says ‘I have a fun activity for you‘ I personally would not be then referring to origami. I am tempted to contact my lawyer on this.”
You might enjoy it.
“Not happening. Two videos each 10 minutes long to follow. Making a bird and a dragon. I’d rather eat broccoli.”
Wow must be bad if broccoli is a better option. Why don’t you have a go and see what happens.
“Well only if you do it as well. Parents should be made to share the torture.”
##### 30 minutes later#####
“Well Dad did you enjoy that….”
No I didn’t Son. Broccoli is a better option.
“Any idea what those two creations are supposed to be. Certainly not a bird or dragon. And we followed the instructions….”
No idea what they are. We might as well have spent 30 minutes randomly scrunching up some paper.
So the visitor….. it’s this one.
Comes and stands tight next to the front door and waits patiently for me to get my backside in gear. It’s a clever strategy. Always gets some food first. What a clever bird.
Aren’t they nice! 🤪😜

Cute. I remember Claude sitting patiently on the wall outside the kitchen window waiting for his breakfast. They’re not daft……………..

HELLO! When it comes to the art classes, I 100% agree with Hawklad–what may seem fun to some is NOT to others. I’m not for origami, either, but Bash adores it. He doesn’t even need directions any more to make a little origami Yoda. But that’s him, you know? Biff and Blondie have no patience for origami, just as Bash has no patience for Biff drawing charts of Mario characters and Star Trek ships and Blondie coloring mystery mosaics. To each his own! Except for school, I guess. Sigh. But if Hawklad would like to take a crack at Darth Paper, he may have fun with that 🙂 it’s even a book series!

Going to look up Darth Paper. I might have a go. xxxxxx

Bash loves making him and aaall the other characters–Han Foldo, Emperor Pickletien, Jabba the Puppet. I forget what Chewie’s called, but there are directions for all the characters. 🙂 There’s a whole book series! https://origamiyoda.com/

Hooray! It really is impressive how caught up in these Bash is. We have little paper Yodas all over now. And that is not an exaggeration. 🙂

I think they turned out well! I do not feel like I am good at origami either. I fear mine would be much worse. And you have another faithful friend – love the bird visitors!

Your origami is fine for a first go. I like your little winged visitor. By the way, why do you have a meerkat in your garden?

Well done. Origami and I have a long history of love/hate (as in I love to hate that paper folding exercise in futility). Since I happen to like broccoli, my alternative would be algebra would be better. And I absolutely HATE algebra! 🤣

The origami bird on the right is well done for a first try. Not so sure about the dragon. It looks like it had a rough flight to Yorkshire 😦

Way better than I could do, but origami never interested me. Maybe Hawklad should try macrome. (Is that really how it is spelt? Sounds way different than it looks, lol. Just like origami.)

Macramé – this would be my guess. Got to to make surcyou have that accent egou in there. Not sure how to spell ‘egou’. 😄

I’m not as well. Going to look it up but need to I is how to sort of spell it first.

I’m not sure. You have many talents.

My talents are confined to words and ideas. I need others to put them into material productions. My hands, and even my musical voice, are quite inept. A sound recherche once told me he could make a anyone sound good. After he got me in his studio, he changed that to almost anyone. I think I broke some of his equipment. I do break mirrors, after all. (jaj — just a joke.)
