Life….
I haven’t really fancied any chocolate all week yet today, as soon as I start a new diet I get an insatiable urge for Snickers, Toblerone, Mars Bar, KitKats, Aero and Cadbury’s Milk Chocolate. All things chocolate. Couldn’t make it up. Sadly the new diet doesn’t feature those wonderful confectionery items too highly.
But so far I’m staying strong. Resisting the urges. A steely resolve lasting 3 hours so far. Trying to tell myself that they might taste real nice but that good feeling is short lasting. That’s the problem. Needing more than one chocolate. In my case normally a bucket load of the calorie laden goodies.
But enough is enough. Tired of having those clothes marks. Being able to see what I’ve worn by looking at the marks on my body.
I can do it….
That Toblerone on the sideboard is looking mighty tempting….

I can’t advise I’m afraid …. I absolutely cannot resist chocolate. The more buckets to fill with it the better! And I adore Toblerone … heaven sent 😋❤️

Good luck for a diet that allows chocolate. I admit that sometimes, I just go for it and get it out of my system. I try for moderation, but, unfortunately, the word isn’t understood my my tummy.

Would you ever consider chocolate made with xylitol or erythritol? It’s not quite the same as normal chocolate but if you get the right brand it’s ok. I tried Pure Heavenly Chocolate and I recommend trying the taster packs because some variants are ok and some are awful, and it’s down to personal taste. Franky’s is very nice once you’re used to the rough texture.

I’d deffo give those a go. I think Franky’s is more authentic-tasting, whereas Pure Heavenly was a bit hit and miss. I tried (I think) 14 taster variants and ranked them all from best to worst, only to discover that my top 2 (Dark Mint and Dark Orange) happen not to be available in the full size! I don’t know if I like my next 2 choices enough to just buy them alone, so I went looking elsewhere and found Franky’s.

But, seriously… any diet that doesn’t include choco is bad for your mental health! It’s a fact! Ask Willy Wonka 😉😂💌💌💌

Chocolate is a natural anti-depressant, and can also ward off migraines if taken at the onset.
Aldi have a special offer on double deckers and crunchies……. a four pack for 83p. yeah I bought some as they are only small bars. It has been a BIG treat day today.

Good luck! I would have trouble! My husband says that giving up cheese and icecream is what helped him lose the most weight . He eats them now but not as much as he used to before.

I had to buy only the very darkest of dark chocolate so I wouldn’t eat an entire large bar at one sitting (the big bars that are *supposedly* about 3 servings. I can’t even bring Cadbury or Toblerone into my house. Best of luck in your endeavor!

I once ended up almost anorexic. Maybe I was, but it wasn’t invented then. However…I always found that it is harder to just eat “one small bite” than not eat any of something tempting. So I used to starve and then go on a binge, and then get sick. Dieting is a pain in the butt. It’s hard when you have a growing youth to feed, so be strong. You can do it!

Do you eat porridge? I’ve been off chocolate for lent and I haven’t missed it nearly as much as I usually do.. I blame the copious amounts of porridge… maybe that could help you too?

I am not even going to try to tackle anything like dieting. This pandemic is really hard. I figure I’m doing extremely well to still be standing upright and not curled up in a ball in a corner somewhere. LOL
Wishing you all the best!

I can do without treats…
…but only if there’s none in the house.
Why the Toblerone on the sideboard? Either it’s a form of self torture, or you’re setting yourself up for a fail. Get rid of it. Use my logic. Rather than let is go to waste, let it go to waist./p>

You can make it for sure, Gary. It is only the programming of the mind. We can reprogram because it is all about habits. I was a chocolate junky and also used to have a piece of chocolate after lunch. I stopped that because my skin began to react more and more after I ate chocolate. For the first three to four days I really had to stay strong but from the fifth day on the craving was gone since my body got used to NOT having a piece of chocolate after lunch. You can put any chocolate in front of me and I won’t touch a single piece because it doesn’t mean anything to me anymore.

🤣😂😂 There isn’t really a Toblerone on your sideboard is there? The first rule of avoiding food temptations is not to have it in the house. Makes it that much easier. You are strong. You can do this. Did you eat any chocolate 🍫?
