Sunday brings thoughts of family holidays to beautiful Switzerland. Trips to an alpine wonderland from a much different time. Yes the last holiday was only 6 years ago but it does feel like a lifetime ago. Much has happened to the world, much has happened to our family over those 6 years. It’s actually quite hard to remember how that former life felt like.
That former life isn’t coming back but Switzerland is still there. Maybe our much smaller family can return sooner rather than later, start to create some new memories. Life has to go on.
Time to see what memories some old holiday snaps can bring back.

Beautiful scenery!!

I especially like the pic with the moon, Gary. Who’s the chap standing behind Hawklad?

Bond. They have a Bond museum up the top of that mountain. One of the movies was filmed there.

Looking at the photos, and with my mind all over the place, I’m all is it Switzerland, is it? As we are all programmed to look for familiar features in any place, these places came to mind:
1) Blea Tarn, Lake District.
2) Hafod Eryri.
3) La Tronche, Grenoble.
4) Siaray où les Combes.
5) An ice cream stuck on a random welsh mountains post card. ⛰️
6) St Michael, Llanfihangel, Saint Clears ⛪ and a cuckoo clock.
7) Neyland.
8) Antarctica on the news.
9) Gaddarn Reach, (Neyland again).
10) Pendine cliffs.
11) Gower from a distance.
12) Brecon Beacons.
13) Mont Sec, overlooking Vizille on a misty day.
14) Neyland (again).
15) Brecon Beacons.
16) However, Schilthorn is unmistakable, as is that handsome young man (not the 2D 007).

Schilthorn is epic. I so want to go back. Have you been, the cable car ride is better than Alton towers. I love Blea Tarn, I believe it was the last place I wild camped, pre parenting days. I love the Brecons, been there 4 times walking.

Such lovely photos and I love that you always end with a photo of Hawklad. That Spider-Man T-shirt is amazing. Who’s the detective behind him?
