Well over 10 years ago and we were travelling through the Swiss Alps on one of those glorious Swiss Panoramic Trains. My Partner’s Mum had come with us on that holiday. I remember her leaning across the train table and pointing out to me
“Problem with Switzerland is that it is just too beautiful, too many distractions, you would never get any work done here. I always bring a crossword book. Been bringing the same book for years and still haven’t made it past the first puzzle….”
Definitely can understand that. It’s pointless me taking any books to read here as well.

I esp love the shots of the gorge and the village!

It’s truly amazing in that gorge. It’s about a one mile walk inside.

Such beautiful pictures. People who live there must be one of the happiest groups of people in the world.

When surrounded with such beauty it would be criminal to bury oneself in a book. I was in a place of astonishing beauty once and was appalled that some of our group were playing scrabble! I love seeing your Switzerland pics.

I’d be the one in the group wanting to play Scrabble, but you still love me, right?

Haven’t played that in years. I do.

As much as I love reading, these pictures are proof that I wouldn’t read here either. Writing, on the other hand, would be inspired, though it would suffer from my drifting often, into the beautiful scenery.

It isn’t doing it for me. I could work there, but then I’d want to come home after a week tops. I like rolling hills, I find mountains not my thing. I like stone housing, shacks make me feel temporary. I like to be near the family and they’re nearly all here in West Wales. I hope you get your dream though and see it again, feel the fresh air, eat the yummy and be happy.

I keep meaning to track down where my family in wales were located.
