The last day of the season at The Arboretum.

A few days later and a storm blasted through the area. I wonder how much damage was done here. Just a bit up the road and we had some wood down outside our house.

Some trees around the village came off far worse.

The tree busting winds from the North were so strong that wind assisted Santa has arrived 14 days early….. That’s definitely way too early to find that I’m still on the naughty list.

  1. Hi,

I can only imagine the impact that storm had on the village. It sounds like it really wreaked havoc on the trees and landscape. Hopefully, the community can come together to clean up and recover from the damage. It’s a tough reminder of nature’s power, especially as we prepare for the holidays.

    Stay safe!

  2. Whoa! You can certainly see the ‘wind caused’ break in the branch outside ‘your house’. That’s some wind to do that. 🙀
Still on that naughty list, hey… Still time to change it up – if you hurry! 😉

  3. You’ve certainly had some bad weather over there lately but I’m glad you were not too badly affected. I’m sure you’ve never been on the naughty list. At least not Santa’s!

  4. I was out in it for many hours for family and work reasons. I was both exhilarated and terrified, my arms ached from trying to keep on the more exposed roads. Talk about being totally knackered afterwards. Plus, someone down road had a tree crash into their roof and lots of trees down. No trees down in this garden, but plenty of a bashing all the same.
