This year definitely feels like a musical Christmas. Three concerts in the run up to the big day. Two brilliant ones, one a bit iffy. But as dear old Meatloaf would say, Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad.
The first concert , the wonderful Kate Rusby and one her much loved Christmas concerts. If you want to get into a happy place, get into the Festive Mood, then this is the perfect concert.

And it’s a first for me, first time I’ve seen a band playing fancy dress. How on earth the poor guitarist could play dresses like that…..

Hawklad adored it. So much so that we are already booked in to see her again next December.
Then next day it was the middle concert. Madness and Squeeze. This was always going to be a bit of a punt. Madness was his Mum’s favourite band, so we thought it would be a nice touch to go and see them for her. Let’s be diplomatic, we’ve seen them now…..

And on the 23rd it was the last concert of the year. Robert Plant’s Saving Grace. He sounds as good as ever at 77, even quipping that it’s amazing he can still sing a Led Zeppelin song 50 years after he wrote it.

Happy Christmas everyone, may the music be sweet for you.
