As the next storm is about to wing across the UK. We took a pre storm trip to the coast.
Yes we we got drenched, yes it was cold.

Hawklad loves this kind of bad weather trip…. he basically gets the place to himself. Space is a wonderful safety blanket.
Plus no one gets to see his hair, WOW was that a blinding cut from Muppet Dad. Actually it looks like I was blinded while doing it.
Wow! Great pics of scary weather!!

I love wild weather. The wilder, the better.. At age 74 I find it knocks me around more than when I was younger. I have long ceased removing my shoes and socks and jumping in every puddle as I did with with my daughter (now aged 50) until she decided such activity was too juvenile for an 11 year old girl. Sigh

New name for him Stormchaser! I love that weather too, when I have a nice warm retreat. How bad could the haircut be? That’s what baseball caps are for.

wow..the photos are super dramatic..love ’em..pretty cool that the kid likes that weather. I used to have my kids sit in the garage watching lightning storms with me. They learned to look forward to the family time when bad weather was coming:)

My Dad would take me into his greenhouse when we had a thunder storms. He made it a real adventure, brought it alive. He did try to convince me that it was dragons in the sky…

my daughters first memorable comment about thunder when she was 3 was to ask when it was over if “God’s battery went dead”…lol

Dramatic shots, and yes, NZ has had it’s share of tropic storms, or the tail end of them. Unpredictable weather worldwide. Luckily for us, there were no damaging winds in our neighbourhood.

We are fortunate to some parts of the world, but without doubt the storms are getting way more frequent.

They certainly are and need to reassess where we live especially when the same areas are flooded every time a storm arrives.
