Now that’s a branch…
I’m always fascinated by this piece of natural art. It’s a great place to stop for a few moments on my run. Take off my earphones (according to Hawklad I should call them earbuds) and ponder why…
Why have I become so uncool….
Why does a branch suddenly decide to grow upwards after years of heading downwards…. Just maybe I can learn something from this.
A Dad trying to cope with the loss of his Partner and becoming a single parent.

My three adult kids have all gifted me earbuds over the years, yet I STILL prefer my full over-the-ear earphones. Guess I’m forever really uncool. BUT! Guess what? Two of the three recently purchased over-the-ear earphones. Guess they’re making a comeback… or my kids are… aging! *Gasps!* Who’s going to tell them? LOL!
Maybe that branch is representative of two of my three? LOL!

I love that tree. As for supposedly being uncool wearing headphones, I disagree. I am 48 and I have seen people younger than me with headphones on.

the other day I ran past someone using one if the old Walkmans, it was huge…

I can remember the walkman. But I have forgotten how big they are. So I would probably look twice if I seen someone with one.

There was one on the Bancyfelin road, but it’s been taken away now. Still, it can be seen here on the old Street View from June 2011

That is one cool looking tree, Gary. I always find nature is a reflection of our times and internal thoughts and this tree’s branching upwards may very well be telling you something!
As an aside, it’s nice that you go running. I need to find the energy and motivation to do that! So good for you. 💪

The running thing really helped me. It was the one time where I seemed to be able to silence all the noise, to be able to start to think things through.

I call mine headphones, my guess the American spin on the name. I don’t get why people like earbuds, either. They always fall out of my big ol’ ears, lol. And I refuse to call anyone “bruh.” You’re dudes and dudettes and yooooooou’ll like it! 🙂
