A late October trip to another Yorkshire Castle. This time Richmond Castle.

Richmond is a beautiful part of the country and it’s definitely a Castle With A View.

And here, in this cliff that the castle is perched on is where the legend can be found. King Arthur and his Round Table Knights are said to be asleep in a secret cave below this wall, waiting to come to save the Country in its hour of need……

    1. I’m so pleased you have been here. My favourite castle ruin was in Scotland. Out walking in the mist, near Oban, ended up wild camping against a wall when the weather closed in. When the weather cleared found we were next to a castle ruins. It was filled with atmosphere with the night sky and stunning as the sun rose. Still not sure which castle it was.

  1. What a beautiful view! It looks so peaceful … I don’t think I’d like to be that high up on a cliff, though! I wish King Arthur and his knights could come to this side of the pond and save our country, for we are definitely in our hour of need!!! xx
