A few days of occasional drizzle, but still it’s not having any impact here in Yorkshire.

What happened to properly green grass….
Yorkshire should be this colour GREEN.

I am only seeing brown grass where I have been walking where I live.

Same here. Everywhere is yellowy brown and crunchy.

I was just looking at a photo I took here today of lush green fields and was remembering last summer in the drought when it looked like that photo you posted. I feel for you. It is so not England.

I trust the green will return

The green will return, as will the mizzle and the feeling that even your bones are damp. I’m waiting for November. If we don’t get a traditional November (mist, damp leaves and depression) I am definitely going to start planning for Armageddon.

It is strange how the weather patterns are changing.

It’s sad to see such a green place look like this.

Yes, that’s sure a sight for Yorkshire. It will definitely take more than a few days of drizzle to bring things back to life. But I trust that Yorkshire’s typical rain patterns will return. Don’t toss out the water proofs yet! 😯

A bit surreal seeing so much brown up in Yorkshire. Hopefully the autumn rains will gently bring some relief.

Glad you got some rain but the yellowy brownish landscape is quite surreal. I hope you get some relief soon, Gary.

I have only watered a patch of ground, just a patch that has food growing in it, but that the other parts of the garden are full of cracks. It will return, as nature has a way of surviving (unless this is it). Things change, I have changed, so much so that I’m thinking of doing a YouTube channel and letting you all know. Thoughts?

Oh my, that ground is desperately thirsty. Here’s hoping you get rain to help it out.

Uffdah, I get that. This could have been a picture of Wisconsin in July, and I would have totally bought it.
But I hope you and Hawklad are well, dry grass aside xxxxxxx
