One of the neighbouring villages puts on a most splendid daffodil display every year. Yesterday the display was not too bad at all.

If the daffs could talk they would scream.
THIS IS FREEZING, it’s supposed to be SPRING.
The flowers are very wise because it is still really cold, definitely two sweater weather. A few years back I would stand in this field frequently during this time of year. Hawklad’s mum and her mum would love to come here most weekends. Life inevitably changes and now visits to this lovely place are sadly way less frequent. Some changes are not always for the better but some changes don’t have to be permanent. So guess what, let’s try to head back there again this weekend.
Weather is crazy here too.
Two days ago our temp was 34!
Today it is 20.

One of the things daffodils symbolise is hope. So, it’s always a good thing to spend time gazing at them for flowers speak a language only the heart understands. These daffodils can help infuse hope into a tired, weary hearts. You’ve posted pictures of them before, gorgeous ones, and they’ve lit a light in me when I needed it most. I will never forget this. I hope the same miracle of light in the heart came to both you and Hawklad too.

I loved the daffy’s when I was in Scotland . They are EVERYWHERE along the roadsides. SO pretty.

They take such a battering, if only they would wait another month or so.

It’s a beautiful spot. ❤❤❤❤ Yorkshire does know how to do daffodils. Obviously it isn’t just the rhubarb that benefits from all the rain.

The daffodils are beautiful! Hope you do not stay away long. Where I live it has been very cold and was snowing a few days ago. There is about 2 1/2 feet of snow on the ground. We have had snow on the ground since September!
