Another seriously damp and dark day in Yorkshire. After his morning constitutional walk, it was a fight with the mad dog for the best location nearest the fire. That kinda day.
Yes it’s not just Yorkshire that gets RAIN, Switzerland gets bucket loads as well. A wonderful Hotel Owner once told us with a smile ‘It rains somewhere in Switzerland every single day of the year. Switzerland always has Chocolate, Cheese and RAIN.”
Just like on the 23rd August 2015, it rained in Switzerland.

A dark and damp trip up The Niederhorn shows that the WEATHER can’t take away the wonder and beauty of some special places. I would happily take a bit more rain right now, AS LONG as I was in Switzerland.

When the place is right, any weather is either tolerated or welcomed.

I totally agree. I’ve been happy in rain, I’ve had dreadful days full of beautiful sunny weather. It’s all in the mind, it’s all what we are thinking. Therefore, be aware of thoughts, beware of thoughts, question the stressful ones and find the universe still is a good place.

Good point. I love rain and wait for it until I get weeks of it and then, suddenly it’s too much. Same with sunny days. No pleasing me but it’s time to make peace with the weather.

It’s very different and we need rain to wash the dust in the air.

Keep dreaming Superdad. There is every possibility that you’ll find yourself in Switzerland again one day. I wish it were right now. 😕 You do endure a lot of rain and soggy ground.

Those peaks are bound to catch weather but in such a nice place, who would notice? The lad has the most wonderful eyes.

It’s odd that you don’t notice being wet and cold as much as you do in England.

I think I could stand the rain in Switzerland … sitting in a nice cozy little cafe sipping coffee, watching the rain, knowing that soon the sun would return and I could get out and breathe the fresh air, smell the flowers … oh yeah!

Even when it’s so wet it is also so peaceful. It’s hard to think that it is in the middle of busy old Europe.
