Switzerland has so many wonderful adventures to offer. Such a small country offering so much.

Yet there is one thing that Yorkshire has over that LANDLOCKED Alpine Paradise.
SEASIDE
If your thing is bleak, windswept sprawling beaches and a frigid North Sea, followed by Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas, then it’s the Yorkshire Coast for you. Case in point…..
On a typically tropical Easter Day, donned in a million woolly layers, we bravely ventured to just North of Whitby. To Sandsend Beach.

Cold YES, worth visiting, MOST DEFINITELY.
Lovely.

That looks great – pretty and bracing, then later get the fish, chips and mushy peas (yum)!

Walks on a beach, bundled for warmth, does sound comfortable. I love water. We’re not close to a beach, but we have our Niagara River to ponder on.

Oh, I love Sandsend! I’ve even seen it in sunshine when your icecream melted! Sorry I’m a bit late. Trying hard to catch up after a week in the not so sunny UK.

That feeling would be nice again, it’s been so cold on those trips.

I forget how frozen to the bone feels till I come back, even though it can get pretty chilly in Portugal at times. But it’s draining, day on day. One of the things that drove us abroad.

That part of the coast would be so crowded if it had Cornish weather. It’s always a pleasure to visit.

The seaside is definitely something I am missing over here.
Gary maybe you haven’t seen my reply on one of my posts but would you allow me to quote you with these (your) words: “The less I over think things, and the less I spend trying to scare myself, the more I start to see the wonder all around and the potential in each moment.”

Sorry I thought I had replied, yes no problem. You don’t ever need to ask. ❤️

I’m so happy to hear that! Once when I was in Fairbanks, Alaska ( my oldest son stationed there), I saw them. It was magical and mystical! Epic!
You two deserve all those moments and more! 💕
