A peaceful walk in a Forest. But it’s not always this peaceful. It took the Forest Rangers quite a while to deal with the aftermath of the last storm which hit the area a few months back. Lots of tree damage still evident.

In the UK there is a new word hitting the dictionaries. One which has several meanings. The word is FARAGE. Often found in the phrase ‘Nigel FARAGE is a …..’
FARAGE can mean to some – a wise and gifted political orator who is a man of the people.
But FARAGE can also mean ….
a Charlatan…
a Dangerous Opportunist…
someone who feathers his own best…
someone who tells others it’s wrong to be a part of Europe, has denied the right of his countryfolk to have free access to Europe yet keeps his own European Passport, enjoys unlimited access to Europe for himself .
someone who screams immigration is bad/foreigners are taking all our jobs, filling our schools and hospitals, YET is married to a French Woman
someone who bemoans Europe for how it’s wastes taxpayers money yet then keeps his lucrative European provided pension for life…
someone who is a fascist…
someone who is a racist…
someone who is a right f#@### w#@@#£#
The word FARAGE can also been a family commitment. Hawklad is one of those souls who struggles to find fault in others. Yet with Nigel FARAGE he gets very frustrated, very angry. ‘How can people vote for him, how can they not see through him…’
Once the idea of FARAGE being our Prime Minister seemed like a joke, but then we did get Johnson and Truss. Sadly now his party are increasingly winning local election seats. Unbelievably it could just happen. He could be in charge in a few years time.
That thought horrifies Hawklad. My thoughts are unprintable… Hawklad has made me agree (I didn’t take much convincing) that if that disaster ever happens, then WE will seek to leave the UK. See if we can move to say Ireland or France or Germany or Switzerland or Canada or somewhere that will have us.
All because of a nasty storm called FARAGE.
It is a scary thought and as Hubby says, Farage is a closet Tory as he wants to get into power by cozying up to them for a coalition. He’s all mouth and no substance, pushing responsibility on to everyone else rather than taking it on himself. UK politics is a sham, and shame on our politicians. All of them.
We’re too old and broke to emigrate, but if you and Hawklad get the chance before it all really hits the fan, go for it Gary,

I don’t know which is worse–the people in leadership who employ overt double standards and use double-speak or the people who cannot see through the haze to the actual values/qualities of some of those in leadership. It is mind-numbing.

the other thing is people like him are experts at exploiting weaknesses and fault lines

It is a frightening thought. If the US could elect Trump, maybe the UK could be equally misguided. Such people use scare tactics to persuade people to their cause. I pray that it does not happen over there. The world is already a very scary place.

It’s how these people are let to set the agenda and then other parties try to copy the bits which seem popular.

I can empathize with this. Sadly, it’s a horrendous display of fascism playing out in the US.

So upsetting, Gary. The world can seem so cold and cruel and uninviting at the hands of a poor leader. You and Hawklad are always welcomed in Canada but let’s hope it doesn’t get to that! 🙏

Good analogy… storms and politicians. You’re welcome to Ireland but we have pretty bad services here too… and some very hypocritical politicians!

I’m sorry , Gary. Hawklad is wise. Sadly, it seems our leaders share many traits. In other news, we had storms the end of April that look similar to your pictures. The trails of destruction in nature are easier to “swallow” than the leadership disasters. Sending hugs always. 💗🙏🏼

at least with nature, it’s beautiful design means it starts to self heal and adapt after a storm ❤️

I wouldn’t like to be walking through the forest during a storm. Luckily most are still standing. Politicians and their egos are way too hard to fathom. Best go for a walk and enjoy the peace.

I did the storm walk once, it was both petrifying and yet exhilarating.

The ugly thing with politics, having those who seem to be liars and advocates self-esteem and fulfillment instead of serving the people honestly and sincerely. That is also ouf problem here, unwanted candidates for national posts who are so self-serving and just concerned about what they can get from the government without genuine service to the people.

Farage — a time in the distant past when dinosaurs ruled the world by use of force. Presently being re-enacted in the USA by a dinosaur with orange skin.

Sadly Farage is the type of Dino who will heard the pack in front of the asteroid and then he will head to safety.

Always very shocking to see the aftermath of a violent storm. A month a ago we experienced an ice storm in my area of Canada. Electricity has been restored but still lots of cleanup.
