It’s become a Christmas tradition for us, a trip to see the Lights at Doncaster Wildlife Park. Takes about an hour to walk around and it’s so worth it. Definitely starts to get us into the Christmas spirit. The odd thing is that although the music and the atmosphere is very festive, the actual lights are mostly NOT. But it definitely works

  1. How is it another year already? I feel like you and Hawklad just visited this lovely place. Walking down that tunnel of lights must feel magical. The different installations are so whimsical and fun. I love the flying people on the broomsticks in particular!

  2. They really aren’t “Christmassy”, more like Blackpool, but without the crowd.
Right then, I’m giving the underwater scene the first prize, 🥇 then 🥈 second to the pretty flowers and third (takes another look) I guess 🥉 here’s to the frog, but just the frog oh go on then, maybe some toadstools get runner up prizes, of let’s say a voucher 🎫 for something nice.

  3. Could’ve fooled me, the lights look fabulous; or was your photography the magic at work? So happy you both enjoyed the outing. We have a similar event not far from us. We haven’t been for a number of years, but the daughter tells us it’s still as good as ever. A little fun for us all… and exercise.

  4. Wow, this is fantastic! I love that and would go there for sure, if I lived closer. So beautiful! I love the ideas of the objects and how creative they realized it all. Thanks for sharing, Gary.
