2026 welcomes in renewed struggles with WordPress. On my iPad, the App is about as stable as one of my soufflés. But at least it seems to be letting me post something now, that’s a step in the right direction, so here goes……
On a grim old Yorkshire weather day…..
Can’t wait to see how the new Wuthering Heights movie paints the Yorkshire weather. Will they make it grim….. in fact will they be brave and use the second part of the book. Now that would be GRIM. Wasn’t that part of the book described as unfilmable.
Anyways in a brief break in the clouds on a grim old day, suddenly that grimness was replaced with awesome beauty. It can be such a wonderful life.

Wow! Thanks for sharing, Gary.

Wow! Nothing like that where I’ve moved to, unfortunately (too close to Hull!) I do miss living in the back of beyond.

we are lucky as our village has no street lighting, it’s dark.

This is breathtaking, Gary. The northern lights could even be seen over here… but I missed them… I’ll have to go to Iceland again (in case Trump does not invade it accidentally pretending it was Greenland).

At least, I saw them in Iceland 4 years ago. But in my little granddaughter I have them every time I see her. Her name is Aurora.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. And thanks for sharing about the new Wuthering Heights. I wasn’t aware they had filmed it again. I just went to IMDb and watched the trailer. It’s coming out on Valentine’s Day.

Those northern lights are just beautiful, Gary. I’m glad that your WP ails have not turned you into a hardened egg. I look forward to this new interpretation of Wuthering Heights too. I bet there’ll be steamy scenes!

The lead actress said she showed it to her female friends and they liked it, well the steamy scenes, a LOT. She recommended groups of women go together, after drinking.

SOOOOOOO ENVIOUS!!
I happened to hear, today, that no – they didn’t include the 2nd half of the book. But an older version (maybe they said 1990s?) did.
I’m sure the weather in the movie will always match the mood of any given scene.

I ploughed my way through the Wuthering Heights book after my mum told me that Heathcliff murdered Catherine and that her ghost came back to haunt him. I thought that sounded very cool.
Spoiler alert: this is not remotely what happens.

I have tried and tried to see the Northern Lights. Then my son said you have to use your iPhone…what? The picture he sent was not like your gorgeous pictures at all. I want to see it with my eyes and told my husband we may need to go to Iceland too!
