A lovely, inspiring sky.
Time to be inspired in the kitchen.
It was Sunday so it was time for Stew. A vegetarian, gluten free concoction. Add Moroccan Seasoning and it should be good to go in two hours.
Yes it looked like Moroccan Stew. But that Sunday it was anything but that….
Some muppet was inspired to pick up with wrong spice bottle. For one night only I had Cinnamon Stew. Heston Blumenthal eat your heart out…
It was a shocker. I was inspired to bin the main course and feast on crisps. Cheese and Onion crisps. It’s never ending Michelin eating here.
Cinnamon stew??! Okay, that sounds really yukky π

Is hawklad interested in food prep? Maybe he’d like to consider becoming a cook.
All my foster kids learned to cook rather than have to eat my food more than once.
It’s a good strategy, btw … just sayin’

Sounds a bit like the morning I served my family Taco French toast because I grabbed the cumin instead of the cinnamon! It happens, friend! π€£π

You could’ve just added the other spice on top… the cinnamon might have been the perfect addition… some of my best dishes had huge mistakes in them.π€·πΌββοΈ

I have a Moroccan stew recipe where you do use cinnamon. I am sure that is the one you were attempting.

Certainly not as much as I put in this one.

Cinnamon…um…good in cakes, no so much in stew! I think I would have to give it a pass. Don’t worry, we’ve all done the same at some point.

Looks like Goulash but I like the name Moroccan Stew better.
Think I’ll go find my recipe card and change it.

Some meaty dishes – moussaka etc have cinnamon in them.
I just hope you did not put too much in there!

I was hoping to have artisanal bread and cheese as my Thanksgiving “dinner” but it’s not to be.
Also, that to Amazon Fresh’s screwup, there will be no chips-only dinners for the foreseeable future. Dratsaa

I used to have a few liquid spices and I remember one time making oatmeal and putting what I thought was cinnamon in it only to find out that it was garlic! It didn’t take long to realize it with the smell, of course, but it was too late. Another yuck. π
