Unbelievably some snowdrops have survived the paws of the mad one. Flowers are always welcome especially when they herald the arrival of Spring. They are even more welcome when they sort themselves out. We just have to enjoy and try to stop the dog trampling them into the ground.
This morning was felt like another Groundhog Day here in our family lockdown. Very like every other morning. Doing the same things. That included trying to find some socks to wear. Where do they go. Ok I will reframe that question. Where does the sock monster put them. It’s not as if we live in a big house with loads of rooms. Only a month ago I had to buy 7 more pairs to boost the numbers floating round our little world. Sill struggling to find a matching pair.
But here’s the thing. Here’s another reason to be thankful of the lockdown. No one will see what I’m wearing. It doesn’t matter. Odd socks rule….
Snowdrops are beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with us 😊

I solved that sock problem a long time ago by only buying black socks so they all match. One thing less to worry about every day 😉

Yup. That’s my solution as well. Black goes with everything, especially if you’re a guy. 😀
Well. I mean I don’t want to speak for the other gender.

Haha. It’s funny because I have a guy friend who ONLY wears colorful socks with all kinds of patterns. Imagine having to sort though that, no thanks. No one really sees your socks anyway so what’s the point of sock fashion? 🙂

Unless you have shorts on.

Depends how big your shoes are 😉 And if you’re wearing shorts wouldn’t you be wearing sandals? Don’t tell me you wear socks in sandals? 😀

No sandals….. just running shoes or bare foot…..

Yes I should do that.

Exactly my thoughts! Wear mismatched socks and you’ll find you’ve identical pairs.

One of life’s greatest mysteries is where do all the odd socks go… I’m glad it’s not just us. 💖

Rock those socks!💃🏼
And thanks for the snowdrops picture! We don’t even have dandelions in what passes for our yard🙄

I have learned to buy the same color socks for my husband. Then, if we lose one or two, I just match them up with the others! It works quite nicely!

I really should do that.

It makes everything so much easier! I wish I would have done it sooner…no more baskets of laundry with 15 different colored socks!

I gave up socks at the beginning of the pandemic. One less thing to worry about. But now I’m buying sweaters and lounge pants. I can’t win! 😀

I have deliberately bought socks that are outrageously colourful and to hell with being plain. 🧦 Orange with blue toes, green with yellow, rainbow, pink with purple, those Christmas socks someone donated to the cause… It’s easy just to grab two (even in the dark) and not give a flying fig what other people think, because that is all old school Lovely, it’s all old school. 👔 I’ve told people before “Oi, I’m up here!” and told them to regard my face if they’re talking to me.

I bought my 13 year old socks with the days of the week on. Big mistake. Huge! Now he wears Monday and Friday at the same time. We have totally lost Wednesday and the only surviving pair is Saturday 🤷♀️

Yes that sounds like a recipe for disaster.

What is it with socks? Recently I tried to sort them out and had no less that 7 odd ones. Next day I matched up two of them but somehow still had 7 odd ones. I give up and wear what comes to hand. Who cares? Some even have holes in!

My father’s answer to the sock dilemma was to only buy white, grey, and black. It made the sorting easier too
