It’s Sunday so it must be time for a little walk down memory lane. To holidays spent in the one of the worlds must picturesque countries set amongst the majestic Alps. Yes it’s to go back to Switzerland.

When the sun shines, the skies are so blue in this wonderful country. But if the weather turns, guess what. Switzerland is still a magical place.
If you get the chance, please visit this stunning country. You won’t be disappointed.

Gorgeous! I especially love the rainbow outlining the mountain…

Beautiful photos as always and a truly stunning part of the world. I was blessed to have visited but only for three days in 2010 and I hope to go back in the future and explore it in greater detail.

How about a bit of Swiss current FYI stuff?
Anyone aged 12 or older travelling on 🚝 trains, 🚋 trams, 🚌 buses, mountain railways, cable cars and even 🚢 ships must wear a 😷 face mask. Railways conductors can ask anyone not wearing a mask to leave the train; anyone refusing will be fined. Passengers on ✈️ planes must also mask up.
Since December only people who have been vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 are able to go inside restaurants, cultural, sporting and leisure venues and attend indoor events.
19th January the Switzerland government announced extending coronavirus quarantine and work-from-home rules until the end of February and plans to keep until the end of March other curbs on public life it tightened last month.
On a lighter note, some Swiss archaeologists dig up a Roman 🏛️ amphitheatre:

I can confirm that completely, Gary. Even the “bad” weather creates magical paintings. The formations of the clouds around the mountains, sometimes illuminated mystically by the sun AND those beautiful rainbows.

I’m not keen, having lived in the Alps for a short spell. All that freezing weather in winter and then scorching sun in the summer. I’m into the less extremes.
