    1. I was thinking the same, but I’m guessing that they’re some baking that fell off the back of a lorry!!! For they ain’t no Barm Brack, Parkin 🎂 or Fat Rascals, Iikley, Victoria Sandwich 🍰 or Eccles cakes babe. They’re probably edible? maybe? Were they?

  6. It’s a bit like a cake-based game of Snog, Marry, Avoid. I’d definitely Eat the second and third, but would opt to Exorcise the first one. However, as I gave up baking cakes after a number of spectacular failures, I’m not one to criticise. 🙂

      1. Never underestimate the possibility of random chance. Someone once offered to assist me with a school visit pizza session. We put 16 mini pizzas in the oven and had lunch, returning to find she had turned the grills on, not the ovens, and had incinerated the lot.

        We had to rush round making replacements (using the remains as a guide) before the buses arrived to take the kids home. Fortunately nobody noticed.
