Some pets are clean and tidy. Some pets are not. Some pets are dogs…

Captain Chaos won’t pass up the opportunity to roll in any unsavoury object. Mud, cat poo, soil, bird poo, grass, sheep poo, hay, cow poo…. You get the picture. You get the musty aroma.

Cometh the smell, cometh the bath. The dog bath doesn’t last long. Most of the water ends up on the floor, the walls, the windows, the ceiling, on me. Then you do your best to dry him then it’s release the mad one and he’s fully into his even madder 10 minutes of madness. Followed by you have guessed it, some more rolling about…..

It’s the early hours. We need a bit of a lift so in 4 hours son will get up and off we go to see an early morning (and hopefully relatively empty) screening of The Avengers – End Game. A screening starting at 6.30am – how mad is that. Thanos will still be in his pyjamas.
Oooooo – I’ve read some really great reviews! Half of the family is going Saturday evening. We forgot Catelyn is in a play at church roughly the same time, so I get church duty and Declan who doesn’t want to see it (he says movies are too long). I’m excited for my turn though! Can’t wait to hear about it!
And that stinky Captain Chaos strikes again π

Over 3 hours might indicate Declan is right.

Great Captain Chaos βΊοΈπΆ it reminds me of my dog. Every time after the bath she used to roll again in not so nice smelling things βΊοΈπΆ
I cannot wait to see the movie too π Enjoy it! π

Have fun, you two! I’m hoping we can attempt a family trip–a first!–to the movies to see Lego Movie Part 2 at the budget cinema.

I so hope you do and it works out well. We are so lucky now. Our City is getting a big new cinema so the current big cinema has slashed the ticket prices. Itβs now cheaper to buy 2 tickets for a movie than get a bucket of popcorn (if you want one).

That’s awesome! There’s a sweet little theater not far from us with cheap tickets, but they only show the latest films, which I don’t care about. The budget cinema’s waaaaaaaaaaaaay into Madison, but 3 buck tickets will make it worthwhile. Plus, if Biff and Bash can’t handle the cinema experience (they’ve never been) eating those tickets isn’t nearly so awful as eating the FIFTEEN DOLLAR tickets at the super-duper-cineplex place.

I hope they do enjoy it. It would be a nice thing you guys can all do as a family every so often.

Oh my gosh Gary. So as I write you will be there now! Wow! And oyr dog REFUSES to be bathed. But she doesnβt get chance to roll in poo as we donβt go near any nowadays. Our old dogs ysed to be very partial to a bit of Lake Dustrict poo though. For some reason it seemed to be very soecial !

My last dog was a Yorkshire Terrier. He could smell our Lakeland poo for miles. Once locked on he was like a guided missile.

How can you not forgive him anything with a face like that??? π
He really needs a cape though, then he can take his rightful place amongst the (remaining) Avengers!!!
Your line about the 10 minutes of madness reminded me of our departed German Shepherd as a pup, and later into old age even, when he would have his ‘mad half hour’ running round the back yard like a banshee and dropping to his front paws staring at us, challenging us to catch him, before deciding to run sideways 90 degrees away from us as we laughed at him as he ran round at top speed in circles. π
Memories.

Car park was half full and when we left a massive queue of cars waiting to find a parking space. That didnβt happen for Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Indeed. Virtual every screen. Given its morning and the cinema was busting. The night before they had every screen showing the movie all starting at midnight.

Aw, he’s a sweetheart! Maggie tolerates the shower, but loves the hairdryer afterwards, she just preens and positions herself just so.
Hope you enjoyed the film. Last one we saw a the cinema was Terminator: Rise of the Machines and went twice as the first time was full of kids, so we went to the adult midnight showing a few days later. We had them all on DVD, but not now.

I have never seen the cinema that busy. Virtually every one of the 20 screens are showing the Avengers on a constant loop. It was full and itβs still morning.

I love the pictures of your dog going “mad”. Bathing dogs can be torturous! I wonder why they MUST roll in every conceivable stinky substance? Enjoy the film – my daughter is also going to see this one, even though it’s already making her sad.

I imagine you did! LOL I only have a cat now, but we did have a dog for 11_ years – a German shepherd/Huskie cross. He was such a sweet animal, but incredibly difficult to bath. I usually had a full shower at the same time.

We’re planning to see Avengers: Endgame on Wednesday. It’s a public holiday and a nearby multiplex is screening a double feature with Infinity War.
Hope you enjoyed the film.

It was spectacular. Some people did a 52 hour avengers movie marathon. Wow.

52 hours? That’s… Insane.
We do keep talking about going back and watching all of the Marvel films in order, but it would take us the best part of a year to get through them all. A six hour marathon in plenty π
That said, my partner and I did manage to spend 16 hours watching the whole of the Lord of the Rings. But that was before we had any kids.
