Some things are scary. An old castle on a dark brooding day is definitely scary. Imagine this place at midnight on Halloween. Yep definitely scary. But some sights go beyond that.

A few years back we were living in the city. I was manning the door on a super busy Halloween. A constant stream of trick or treaters. All in fantastic costumes. I felt bad for just wearing jeans and a T-shirt. I had shaved so couldn’t even claim to be a werewolf. The doorbell rang and I opened the door again with a friendly smile. Two little devils looked up at me. Before I had chance to complement the monsters on being super scary, one of the devils screamed and ran off crying. The other devil calmly asked if he could have his brothers treats. With the brave devil chomping on his chocolates I went to apologise to the parent who was stood on the street. The mum just laughed and said her son wasn’t very brave and had screamed at a few masks on the night.

The worry was that I wasn’t wearing a mask.

WOW. And that’s why you don’t get any photos of me. Definitely a face perfect for radio….

  6. the cheek of her!!!!! Lol. I used to run a big bash every year where we lived before. It was mainly to thank parents for all their support of my music and drama biz, Looking back i think was I mad.. My own family could not get in the door cos of the queue. Now I live a quiet life.

  14. My son rarely went trick-or-treating as he was too scared to go up to a stranger’s door, no matter what they looked like. We’d get together with friends and have a kids’ Halloween party. At a month shy of 18 he’s no longer interested – preferring to be online gaming with his buddies.

    One time… when me and my brother were younger … he was about 5… so I woulda been 10… my mother went and got a “perm” (yes it was in the 80’s lol) …

    My brothers friend came over to play… and when my mother opened the door he fell over laughing 😄😄 we had no idea what was wrong with him, until he pointed at her and just said “your hair” 😄😄

    My poor mom 😄😄 I don’t think she ever permed again after that 😄😄 we still laugh about that!!!

    Wasn’t even Halloween lol ✌️
