Week 1 completed.
4 exams.
15 still to go.
Back to back exams on Monday.
Brain fudge level, OFF THE SCALE and thatβs just me.
The high point (π€―π€―π€―) of the week has to be poor Hawklad having to stay in the exam room for an extra hour after the first exam had finished while IT tried to fix a misbehaving printer. National rules state that if you use a computer to complete an exam then the student has to stay in the exam room until each typed sheet has been signed and dated. The teachers were really apologetic but they had to follow the rules.
The other highlight has to be me printing out what was a highly rated article on ASPERGERS and then sat scratching my head why the article appeared to be a cooking recipe. I did find out how to make ASPARAGUS creamy parcels.
What a monumental MUPPET.
Lol. Definitely a fudge up! xo

So sorry. Frustrating to have your own life messed up but when it is your kids and you have no power over it, even worse. How did Hawklad cope with it?

After 4 exams Hawklad has learned he can cope (I hope). Once this is all over, he will be free to live again. Unless he goes on to university, where I think he would excell (if your Department of Education has not screwed that up too.)
Please pass on to him my best wishes for his success, whatever he defines success to be. (Don’t let his teachers defone success for him!)

This year there’s only two shoots of asparagus come up in my garden, one tall and one not so tall. Maybe I should think of them as representations of BABASP and Hawklad.

He has done well. I sat in exam rooms for uni and somehow made a bubble around me to get it done. The after shock of it needed nature, sweet treats and time to breathe again. Bless him, he has done well. Masking takes it out of those of us on the scale. Dad is probably on tenterhooks and also needs all of the above too.

What is that flower? I’ve never seen one before this.

It’s a tulip. It’s a very open and blooming honest one, the kind of flower and people I like.

I think it’s too hot here – I don’t see tulips anywhere.

Find a shady spot perhaps? Keep them in the bathroom? Surely there’s somewhere?

Wow, really? Thing is here in the UK at the moment they are probably the cheapest flowers to buy in the supermarkets:

Yep. SoCal is zone 10 and 11. Tulips might grow down in San Diego but I’ve only ever seen fake ones.

In our family it is referred to as Arse Burgers. I’d say all of us are not on the “normal” scale. Three of us did a (not touching hands) high five in the car, when one of us (me) had just finished and recovered from having an epic panic attack. For what it’s worth, I’m totally giving you both a (not touching hands) high five from here in Wales, you’re both part of my tribe.
