A local government politician talking about how the covid war has been won by our brave leaders. Is it won….. When your family gets really sick with covid do you run to the brave leaders for help or to the doctors and nurses. Doctors and nurses who are now being made out to be a problem by our brave leaders.

So if the war is won then why is it that an email incorrectly formatted from a teacher revealed that 7 of the class are currently off school with that vanquished virus. Stopping schools tell parents about covid outbreaks in the classrooms are part of the war strategy which the government is employing. If it’s won then why did I get a group email from some friends with children at Hawklad’s school. An email telling people that both children are now ill with covid.

I think that local politician is either after a knighthood or is a blithering WAZZOCK…… OR Both. Wazzock is a local expression. It’s kind of a term of endearment 😳😳😳😂😂😂 But just in case best not use it next time you speak to your boss or teacher….

Here in the States, especially my deep-red state and deep-red states like it, politicians and regular people alike act like COVID is long gone, no longer a problem, even as Delta raises case and death counts to levels we haven’t seen since what was previously the worst of it. They. Just. Don’t. Care.

  4. It is the same here in Saskatchewan, Canada. Our premier went public to tell doctors and nurses that Covid is an opportunity for them to step up and promote vaccination to prevent spread of disease. Meanwhile he has been ignoring every bit of advice and every request for assistance that has come from the doctors and nurses in our province. 🤦‍♀️

  8. I know here in the U.S. it seems like it’s a war between nurse who will and nurses who won’t get the vaccine. Most if us got it, mainly because we feared losing work if we didnt. Yet there are those who are standing firm against getting it despite looming mandates.Oh and not to forget all kinds of horror stories about cargo sitting in ports due to lack of workers and a full on trucker shortage. I just shake my head. It’s hard to know what is a media distraction tactic and whats real anymore.

  10. Conservatives/Rrypublicans/whatever-the-hell-they-are-called-where-you-live are all liars when it comes to Covid. Whatever picture they paint, multiply it tenfold, not in favour of defeating anything. They are afraid to tell the truth–it makes them look bad! Aside from the fact they are bad, or worse than bad, they keep telling us the war is won. They said it after the first wave, after the second wave, after the third wave, and now they are saying the fourth wave is over and we can get back to normal.
    I do not believe anyone who says it’s over! As far asI can tell, NORMAL HAS CHANGED, and they better get used to it!

  16. Wazzock: a foolish or annoying person. Yes, I use that term of endearment all the time. 🤣😂🤣😂 Auto correct turned endearment to adornment. There you go. It’s an adornment. It’s not an adornment I’d personally like to have. I’m glad that Hawklad is being homeschooled. Hang in there and take care you two. ❤❤

      1. Thanks to this post I had the word Wazzock stuck in my head all day. Then this morning I got the word Wigwam stuck in my head for some reason. What is it with ‘W’ words.
