Oh how much do I miss those magical Swiss days.
What a feeling. Standing on the hotel balcony and getting to see that bay, that perfect mountain.

Why not have a family adventure and see what it looks like from the top of that 7700 ft mountain.
Back in 2014 it was time to visit The Niesen.

You’re tempting me with these weekly photos.

Are you not going back because of Covid or is it because you son would be traumatized by the travel?

It’s more to do with single parenting and the difficulty of travel with his anxieties.

I thought that was probably it. Too bad, though, as he seems to love Switzerland as well.

Having those photographs and memories are so precious. I was going through a box of photos the other day, looking for happier days. Grief can be so freaking heavy and sometimes casts a pall on happier times. I uncovered some and hold them close to my heart….

I take hope in that comment – right now I still feel the sharp cut of grief when I look at photos – I do it anyway but it’s often torture.

I remember a famous climber once writing about the climbing pals he had lost. He talked about the feeling of forgetting their expressions and smile being so much worse than the pain of grief. ❤️

I’ve been going through photos of my hubby on my computer and watching a video of him so I could hear his voice again.

I ask every time, but why not go back?

The main obstacle is going as a single parent. Maybe it’s my own paranoia. Just hoping as Hawklad gets older it becomes more practical.

I think so. I’m referring to planning on it, say, five years from now. You can go every Sunday after that. 😉

I kinda have a travel route sketched out including a quick detour to Paris Disney. Just need somethings to fall in place. ❤️

Such lovely pictures of Hawklad. Sky-gliding (is that what it’s called?) looks wonderful but I think I would chicken out!

I love the two photos of Hawklad. I can only imagine how much bigger he is these days. Those mountaintop views are other worldly!

Hawklad seems to have that glint in his eye… his cheekiness started early I’m guessing😂😂
Thank you for a virtual break from a not fun Sunday at the Casa🤪 The refrigerator is wheezing its last few gasps, and I’ve been finding things in the back that look like science projects 🤢 Never a dull moment at the Casa🤪
