Comfort food was definitely required. So here’s my gluten free apple crumble. Whisper it quietly – it wasn’t too bad at all. Having said that my judgement is clouded. I’m still trying to recover from not eating for over 24 hours during our midweek crisis. I would even find Rhubard nice currently….

This will be another submission for this months Great Bloggers Bake-off which is happening on the 18th and 19th. If I can do it why don’t you have a crack.

Remember to send in your creations (you can start early) to Mel (CrushedCaramel). Maybe your entry is not baking just something for a picnic like a sandwich, drink or salad….

Let’s see if we can literally blow Mel’s and our wonderful judge Jeanne’s (A Jeanne in the kitchen) socks off with our creations and monstrosities.

  1. I make a crumble topping with equal amounts of porridge oats and granola cereal. No added sugar, fat or flour, just mix it together and put on the top of your fruit of choice, then cook either in the microwave or oven. Any good for GF?

  2. I think I might take part in that bake off. Baked a rainbow cake during Pride week that ended up more like a rainbow pancake so won’t be including that! But might attempt another one as it looked lovely and colourful, just maybe find a tin that’s not too wide.
I guess I’ll email and ask more details on how to enter. Really looking forward to seeing your creations!

      1. I have mentioned my oat biscuits in today’s weekend post, which the link is in that post for my oat biscuits.
It was second time making these, which today, I made two batches, so I could share with my neighbour downstairs. 🙂
