“You’re only given a spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it” – Robin Williams
“For all autistic people it mustn’t any longer be about what we can’t do, it’s got to be about what we can do” – Chris Packham
“You’re an interesting species. An interesting mix. You’re capable of such beautiful dreams, and such horrible nightmares. You feel so lost, so cut off, so alone, only you’re not. See, in all our searching, the only thing we’ve found that makes the emptiness bearable, is each other” – Carl Sagan
“When we meet real tragedy in life, we can react in two ways – either by losing hope and falling into self-destructive habits, or by using the challenge to find our inner strength” – Dalai Lama

“It’s so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone” – John Steinbeck

“I didn’t succeed despite my dyslexia, but because of it. It wasn’t my deficit, but my advantage. Although there are neurological trade-offs that require that I work creatively/smarter in reading, writing and speaking. I would never wish to be any other way than my awesome self” – Scott Sonnon (World Champion in Martial Arts)

“Bums to big” – Our son on why the Dodo couldn’t fly. Probably explains why I can’t fly as well.
I’m not a big fan of quotes, I nearly didn’t make it to the end. I’m very glad I did. I always wondered why I couldn’t fly. *giggles* ❤

Animals is one of his big areas. When I asked him I was expecting an answer relating to evolution, wing size or adaptation. Certainly wasn’t expecting that answer.

I loved this! Thank you! I sent the ‘spark of madness’ to my hubby but apparently he isn’t over this mornings shenanigans as he replied “OTHERS have a spark of madness, YOU have a %*#! forest fire”

Thanks. Yes I suspect my spark has matured into a fire over the years.

If you haven’t read about “the chocolate frosting incident”, you should…🤣

Not sure I found the right incident. The one I found was a courthouse fight and a chocolate cake. If it wasn’t, sorry, but the one I found was funny.

Thank you. Yes it’s such a good/positive way of looking at it. I did put some of these quotes on my son’s wall. Until he pointed out rather pedantically that he was dyslexic. So rather red faced I took them down and now trying to get his iPad to have them as a mp3 file so he can play them. We love Spongebob to.

Good quotes.
“For all autistic people it mustn’t any longer be about what we can’t do, it’s got to be about what we can do” – Chris Packham <—especially this one. ALWAYS 'yes you can' instead of 'well, maybe we'll try something easier'.
Even with non autistic children … always challenge them. To fly higher, be stronger, to reach new levels…..

Here’s a couple more:
“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” -Krishnamurti
“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.” -Alan Watts

I like both of them. Thinking about setting up a separate page for quotes and will add these. The more I think about it I really do like the meaning of life quote. Thanks

Alan Watts was brilliant. He died too young. And, Krishnamurti was smart enough to distance himself from Theosophy.
